What is Measure G?
What is Measure G?
Measure G is a $275 million school bond to continue the renovation and modernization of Cupertino, Fremont, Homestead, Lynbrook and Monta Vista High Schools. Measure G funds will be used for essential repairs to keep buildings safe and functioning, including improving school safety, updating electrical, ventilation and fire systems, and improving access for students and staff with disabilities. Measure G is on the June 7, 2022 primary ballot.
Measure G will:
- Modernize classrooms and science labs to prepare students for college and careers.
- Improve ventilation systems for safe air quality in classrooms.
- Provide essential seismic, safety and accessibility updates.
- Support programs in music and art with modern classrooms.
- Upgrade classrooms and labs for career technical education, robotics, engineering and math.
How much will Measure G cost?
The average yearly cost to property owners in the District would be $16 per $100,000 of assessed value (not market value)
What accountability will Measure G provide?
All revenue from Measure G will be spent on our local high schools. A citizens’ oversight committee and annual audits will ensure all funds are spent as promised, and no funds may be spent on administrator salaries.
